PURPOSE:

 

(1) To gain an understanding of the methods and concepts utilized in formulating a strength and conditioning program, and to practically apply these concepts.  (2) To learn about technique & the use of weight training exercises, plyometrics, speed, agility and conditioning drills.

 

 

 

PROPER ATTIRE:

 

During exercise technique labs/workouts appropriate workout attire is required.

 

 

 

COURSE GRADING:

 

For grading purposes the following will apply.

 

 

 

Attendance and participation (16.6%)

 

Class attendance, and participation in exercise technique labs are required.  In the event that you are unable to participate you may receive partial credit for attendance.  Having greater than four unexcused absences will result in your grade being lowered one letter grade for each absence beyond four.  A student who has six or more unexcused absences will automatically fail the course.  An unexcused absence from a scheduled quiz or exam will result in failure of that evaluation.  Exceptions to this policy must be arranged in advance with the instructor.
