JMU is planning to launch a new program in Fall 2009—the Innovation MBA Program. The theme of this new MBA program is "Leading through Innovation with Technology and People."

Thus, we will have two distinctive MBA programs, each focusing on a critical component of sustainable firm success in today's complex and dynamic business environment, while also covering the required core material of an MBA program.

1.    Innovation MBA Program
2.    Information Security MBA Program

The Innovation MBA Program will include many new, exciting courses and utilize the most cutting-edge teaching techniques in classrooms and online. It is a part-time program designed to be completed in two years. The program will use a ‘blended' format of instruction where students meet face-to-face with faculty once every three weeks in Harrisonburg, meet online in a synchronous format the other weeks, and utilize other advanced asynchronous teaching instruction, such as simulations and multimedia cases. It will include an international trip and a Leadership Development Program, where each student is assigned his or her own mentors and develops an individualized leadership enrichment plan.
