Community Service
The Hellfish from JMU aren't just a bunch of cold, slimy, cigar smoking, old fish from hell (as our name would imply, which I mean some of us are, I guess) But we also have a warm fuzzy side...with kindness and tenderness and gumdrops for all!!!
We Participate in at least one Community service project a semester, outside of UREC's Kids Night Out and Warm a Winter Wish (which are both great projects put on by our hardworking Sports Club Council EXEC - furthermore Props to Peaches, Jakob and Brian Meekin and anyone else who has been associated, or lead, this great group - I am not just sucking up.) In our independent projects we help Spotswood Elementary School with both its major fundraisers: The Chili Cook Off in the FALL...which is delicious (send them MORE Delicious Chili and donate some money to this school) and in the Spring we help with...FUN DAY! (you have to be in the Club to know...)
