HistoryLutheran Presbyterian Campus Ministry (LPCM) has a long history of serving students, faculty, and staff at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA. It is built on the solid foundations of two denominational ministries. The current ecumenical ministry was founded in 2002, an outcome of the 1998 Full Communion Agreement between the Presbyterian Church (USA) and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. MissionWe are not a church, but through LPCM, students experience the Church in a whole new way. We are not a youth group, but LPCM can provides students with support and friendships similar those in their home church. We are not a club, but a Christian community gathering students from all faith traditions. We are enjoying the journey each of us is on, strengthening students through worship and study. In our call to be Christ for each other, we are sending students into the world in service.
