Show me your moves!Aug 27, 2008
We're doing something a little different this year for our demonstration at Student Org Night this fall: actually planning and choreographing it! This means that we need a small but talented group of you who are flashy and attractive to serve as actors/representatives for the night. We want to show the full range of skill, experience and diversity in our club to attract as many new members as possible! Contact Sarah or Will if you're interested!
Friday is the new MondayAug 25, 2008
The Fencing Council of Elders have decided to bring back on of the club's favorite social activities after more than a year on hiatus. That's right, Monday Night Dinners are back! However, due to various class and schedule conflicts, MND's will now take place on Friday at 7pm in the Festival. Same place, same name, new time! Come join us for some food and team bonding outside the sweaty confines of the Memorial Hall gyms!
The New Iron ManAug 23, 2008
Move over, Tony Stark, there's a new Iron Man in town, complete with shiny armor (...or maybe just lames). Bryce Rogers joins the illustrious ranks of of Paul Campbell, Will Brown and Scott Young in having ratings in all three weapons, having acquired his saber and epee ratings over this summer. Also of note, with the graduation of some highly talent previous members, Bryce is also the club's King of the Hill in ALL THREE WEAPONS. Congratulate Bryce the next time you see him. If you're looking for a challenge, He's the guy to beat!
Welcome back...En Garde!Aug 23, 2008
Returning JMU Fencers! On behalf of the Fencing Club Council of Elders (the Club Officers), welcome to the Fall semester of the 08-09 term! We hope you all had an amazing summer and are ready to get back our favorite stabbity-stab-stab sport. There's a lot of exciting things that are planned for this year, so we hope you'll come back to us full of fencing energy. See you at practice!
