Riding Facility

The JMU Equestrian Team began riding at Brilee Farm in the fall of 2006. Located in the breathtaking Shenandoah Valley, Brilee is only a 20 minute drive from campus and is easily accessible from I-81. The approximately 40-acre farm is owned and operated by Bob and Debbie Bahr. The Bahrs operate Brilee Performance Horses, which is a program focused on the breeding, showing, and sales of high quality Reining and Working Cow horses. They also offer beginning western lessons to interested students.

The Bahrs have years of horse experience and have generously opened their facility to the JMU team and student boarders. Debbie Bahr manages the riding team schedules and provides care for the lesson horses and boarders. The Bahr family is committed to helping our team excel and grow.
