Rocksteady has videos throughout the ages and different continents.

Q: Are there teachers?
A:
Now this is interesting.

There are people who give lessons and of course there are people who teach. Lessons are businesslike, like a dance class. Teaching is a little friendlier. There are a few b-boys who are to themselves and a lot who are willing to help you out with moves once all is said and done in the circle.

If you want to learn you've got to get together with some other people and see what y'all got. Check out some moves from old videos or movies but the whole idea of b-boyin' is to personalize your style. Create/find your own style/move. This comes from hard practice and gettin down with other breakers. Period.

At a club, a party, in a basement, or on a street corner. A DJ can spend years getting good by themselves. He or she has music to play with and they hone their skills. Breakin' is more of a social thing. DJ's spin records for hours alone just as artists paint or draw for hours alone. But who wants to break by themself? So, to all of you out there, form a crew if ya can.

But remember to PRACITCE HARD!!! Yes, it's hard to start breakin' because your body is not used to these crazy moves... But keep tryin'... You'll get it some day... Just don't give up!..

Lionz of Zion offers a class on demand. If you are from DC area, you might wanna check them out.

Another good place to see and interact with other breakerz are "The Zone" in Wakefield Rec. Center on Fri. night... If you are from Northern Virginia area, go ahead and visit them... Usually, Natural Elements Crew, Arrive To Define, and other good crews from Nova area come to practice...

If there is anyone out there giving lessons who wants to be acknowledged, please give the BDC your info. Right now all we can offer is if you're cruising along 81, stop off at exit 245(JMU exit) and come to any of our practices.
