Nice job at the Colonial 1/2 and 5K!!! The results are posted at www.tribeclub.com/events
"Running it Off" t-shirts - We will be selling them on the Commons on Friday 3/14 from 10-2.
Anyone who helps out will receive a participation point!
We still have order forms for anyone that wants to put in an order :)
Indoor Soccer - We will have a D1 indoor soccer team for anyone who wants to play, please email hoppejl@jmu.edu if you are interested!
Cici's Night - Tuesday 3/18 from 5-8 PM at Cici's (next to Martin's)
You will receive a participation point for attending!
Home Track Meet - 3/30 at 10AM at the ISAT Track.
UConn is attending!! We are still waiting to hear from other teams.
The events will range from 100m-3200m.
We will have a pasta dinner the night before with any teams that come out!
Scavenger Hunt! - We will have a team scavenger hunt the night before the track meet for anyone who wants to come out :)
Monument 10K - April 5th in Richmond.
We will leave on April 4th from Godwin, time is TBA.
After March 1st the price goes up to $35.00.

This does count as a participation point.
Participation points: you must get 2 in order to travel with the team to Monument.
You must get 3 by the end of the semester!
We now have a spiral notebook that will be at all events, in order to get a participation point for attending you must sign-in in the notebook at events!
In addition to participation points for this semester you must attend concessions in the fall to get next semesters apparel!
ELECTIONS! - We will be holding elections for next year on 3/26!
All positions are open:
President - Lead executive and general body meeting.
Attend the presidents meeting once per month.
Correspond with NIRCA.
Any other responsibilities not covered by another exec member.
Vice President - Make the schedule.
Responsible for any other jobs allotted by the President.
Webmaster - responsible for the website.
Community Service - coordinates all community service and outreach programs.
Fundraising - coordinates all fundraising activities.
Secretary - Keeps meeting minutes during Exec and general body meetings.
Sends e-mails.
Completes paperwork.
Orders apparel.
Treasurer - Handles all money and is in charge of the checkbook and checking account.
Attends a treasurers meeting once per month.
SCC pictures - We have submitted pictures from events to SCC :)
Anyone who will be in Harrisonburg over spring break: The archery club is having a tournament, they are expecting over 300 people and need help setting up equipment on Thursday March 6th, if you are able to attend email ralstoak@jmu.edu you will receive a participation point for this event!
The next meeting is on Wednesday 3/12 in HHS 1210 at 8PM
"Tree Mile" 5K - 4/13 is at 1PM (time could change)

Dues are now $20 until the end of the semester. They can be paid to an exec member or at a meeting.
We are still selling "Running it off" t-shirts, they are $12. We also have order forms for any friends who would like to order one :)

Colonial 1/2 Marathon and 5K February 24. 2008

We will be leaving from Godwin stairs on Saturday Feb 23 at 1PM, make sure you eat lunch before we leave. We will be stopping for dinner the night before the race and for lunch on the way home from the race. Remember to bring food for breakfast, the hotel will not have breakfast. If you are participating in this race make sure you turn in a copy of your confirmation form to an exec member and sign up on the blog by Monday February 18 at 12PM!!! If you are able to drive to the race places include that in you blog signup :) Anyone going to this race that did not help out at basketball cleanup must pay $20 for their share of gas and the hotel rooms
Iron Study
Anyone still interested in participating in Christy Eason's Iron study, you can email her at easoncm@jmu.edu. It requires that you are a female who does at least 6 hours of cardiovascular training per week. You will be required to give IV blood once, do a bike test, and get a finger prick blood sample.

ARC Game Night February 22
We will leave from Godwin stairs at 6:45PM. This event will last from 7-8:30, we will be playing board games and basketball at the REC center where the Canteen dance is held :) This event foes count as a participation point for the semester

Monument 10K April 5, 2008
The website for this race is www.sportsbackers.org. We will be leaving on Friday April 4th, the time is TBA. Remember to turn in your confirmation sheet to an exec member! The blog is already posted, so make sure you sign up so we can get the correct number of hotel rooms and cars!
We will be hosting a home track meet on Sunday April 30 at 10AM on the ISAT track. There will be more info to come :)
Club Gymnastics
Anyone available to help out tomorrow afternoon (2/15) in Godwin Rm 106 we will be helping the club gymnastics team move their equipment from the basement of Godwin to the gym for their home meet on Saturday.

Website: All the events for community service and fundraising are posted on our website. We also have a blog for sign-ups
Our meetings are bi-weekly, on Wednesdays at 8PM in HHS 1210
NIRCA: This is our national organization :) They host our Regional and National meets, as well as sponsoring the cross country meets that we attend
Participation : We require that each member get 3 participation points a semester. These can be attained by attending community service events as well as fundraising events. In order to stay an active member you must complete 3!
Competing is NOT required to stay on the club. It is also not required to attend every practice
DUES: $15 until January 31st, they will then go up to $20
Apparel: With the payment of dues all members will receive a T-shirt. At the meeting it was decided that the colors will be non-traditional to JMU colors.
"Running it off" T-shirts : They will be $12, please promote them to your friends and roommates. We will announce commons days once they have been assigned. Anyone that wants one can get one at the next meeting :)
Left over Turkey Trot shirts : We still have T-shirts from the Turkey Trot in the fall, anyone interested in buying one send an email to Anne (ralstoak@jmu.edu) They are $5
CLEAN UP after the basketball game is THIS Saturday January 19th. Meet at 7:45 PM at Gate E if you want to go with the club to watch the game, if you would like to meet us afterwards to clean up be there at 9:45 PM at the concessions hallways (you can enter through Gate E).
This is our MAIN fundraiser for the semester, it is the main way we will raise money to travel to the Anheiser Busch 1/2 marathon and 5K, therefore any member that would like to travel to this race MUST attend this event. For all old members if you want to race at this event but do not come to concessions you must pay an extra $20 to the club to cover your travel cost
